Who is Dr. (Prof.) A. S. Khanna?
A distinguished researcher with academic roots in Chemistry and Metallurgy, Prof. A. S. Khanna is a renowned corrosion and surface engineering expert with over four decades of academic and industrial experience. A former Professor at IIT Bombay, he has led pioneering work in high-temperature corrosion, protective coatings, and materials durability. Founder Chairman of SSPC India and past Chairman of NACE Asia-Pacific, he has authored 100+ research papers, mentored numerous industry collaborations, and received global honors including Fellowships from NACE and ASM International, the Humboldt Fellowship, and the AkzoNobel Excellence Award.
His domain mastery covers corrosion science, surface engineering, organic–inorganic hybrid coatings, and high-temperature materials, he mentors Amatech’s coatings and materials science initiatives.
